What are you doing with your musical abilities?
My personal philosophy is that we don't sit in class, learning what we learn, playing what we play, in order to hide our talents from others. Music, our music, is meant to be shared! We all get that special thrill when we perform something well for an audience. Let's get that thrill more than just a few times a year! Students, there are many ways you can perform on your instrument for the community, and if this list doesn't appeal to you, then let's brainstorm together NEW ways to share our music.
Youth SymphonyBMSYO is dedicated to providing children through young adult college students with musical experiences and rewards that will last a lifetime.

Strolling StringsStrolling Strings is an audition-only performing ensemble for students in grades 7-12. Strollers go into the community and play for all kinds of events. As the name implies, we move around when we play!
Rehearsals are every Tuesday night and there are performances each month. The season lasts from September to May and specific performance dates are distributed monthly. Auditions will be held at the beginning of May. |
